We love ubiquitin, kinases & good food.
Check out our thoughts on ubiquitination dynamics in neurodevelopment. Thanks so much, @MAmbrozkiewicz, for collaborating with us!
What an absolute pleasure to have worked with the brilliant @SLorenzLab on this article, just out in @NatureSMB. We showcase interdisciplinary experimental approaches to investigate ubiquitination in the developing neuron -> 🧵 rdcu.be/d2miT

Very proud of our PhD student, Thornton, for a fantastic talk! Congrats also to Ninadini!
Congrats to @ninadini_sharma @SchuhLab & Thornton Fokkens @SLorenzLab on the Campus Seminar Communication Award 🥳! Since 2018, young scientists @mpids & @mpi_nat present their research in the Campus Seminar series. The two best talks are awarded.
Thanks to Lydie Combaret, Cécile Polge & Daniel Taillandier for a fantastic proteasome meeting in Clermont-Ferrand. C'etait formidable! proteasome2024.sciencesconf.org
Thanks very much, @MalteGersch, for inviting me to the @mpimoph. I had a great time in Dortmund!

LorenzLab Retreat 2024 was a blast! Great group, great food, great mushrooms!

Jochen Rink @rinklab was elected as a new member of the European Molecular Biology Organization @EMBO. He is now part of an international organization of over 2,000 bioscientists who have honored him for his excellent research in this field. Congratulations 🥂👏!

Planarians never cease to surprise - we show that epidermal cells undergo basal extrusion and a 'death march' to be digested by gut phagocytes. Thus, self-digestion is not only part of pathological cell clearance, but also of steady-state tissue turnover. How? Lots to discover :)

Beautiful cross-border stroll with 2 amazing role models! Many thanks to @kyliejwalters, @LabJoazeiro, & Yue Xiong for the fantastic @FASEBorg ubiquitin conference!

In flatworms, Neoblasts are the only dividing cells outside the reproductive system... REALLY? In collaboration with @PhysPlanaria, we show that things are not so simple. Here's our preprint on the intriguing stem cell system of the Catenulid Stenostomum biorxiv.org/cgi/content/sh…
