The #SHEAR2025 conference is over, but we wanted to highlight some of the great moments of the conference: from the President’s Plenary and Address to the Book Exhibit and Early Career Mentorship Reception. SHEAR would like to thank everyone who attended and participated!
So #SHEAR2025 was memorable, being President a great honor. Shout out to our conference coordinator Erika Huckestein and Karin Wulf for making this conference such a success. Kabria and Peter put together a great program. 470 attendees, 10 of my students from UMass and UConn!

We’re running late but please make your way to the John Carter Brown Library for the Awards Reception to continue celebrating our winners and the #SHEAR2025 conference.
The Presidential Address and SHEAR Awards Ceremony will be taking place at 6:30pm at Brown University (same location as the Plenary). There will be a shuttle service taking conference attendees from the Omni to the destination.
SHEAR is pleased to announce the results of the 2025 SHEAR elections. Congratulations to SHEAR’s newly elected officers! In addition, SHEAR would like to thank all of the candidates in this year’s election as well as the Nominating Committee.
