If you can't swap shoes, think about swapping out your socks mid-day. A trick I learned in the Army when doing very long road marches, your feet sweat and that can lead to blisters, swapping socks mid-day can help prevent it.
Suggestion for #SDCC first-timers: as you're carefully shaping your panel agenda, make a plan B too. If you get shut out of a big room or something blows up, you'll have your back-up plan ready to launch. #comiccon
