Year 10 students visited Helmsley Castle to support their studies of Helmsley Castle for their GCSE enquiry. Students were interested, engaged and enthusiastic. Our thanks to English Heritage for their usual warm welcome and to Mrs Ramsden & Mrs Airstone for tour guiding!

Students went on an archaeological dig at Skipsea & made some extraordinary finds including a wild boar's tusk & teeth, flint, pieces of pottery & even a hinge. We were delighted with the enthusiasm of our students & thank Dr Jim Leary and the University of York.
