I’ve seen #JurassicWorldRebirth! It’s a dream come true to see the Spinosaurus return to the big screen for some entertaining prehistoric carnage—though I do wish they got more screentime. Dino scenes are amazing (VFX could be better). It feels similar to Lost World and JP3.

#DangerousAnimals is a really fun, unique spin on a serial killer horror film. It’s intense, twisted, and everyone is clearly having a blast—especially Jai Courtney.

#FantasticFour finally gives Marvel’s first family the movie they deserve. The visuals are spectacular & the world feels like it was ripped straight from a comic book. Seeing Galactus come to life was truly an out-of-body experience. It’s another success for Marvel Studios.

The best part of #IKnowWhatYouDidLastSummer was the new cast. Chase Sui Wonders and Madelyn Cline absolutely crush it, and are equally hilarious and endearing. The kills were also brutal and well done. It does go overboard in its nods to the original.

EXCLUSIVE: #DexterResurrection star Jack Alcott has teased Harrison's complicated reunion with his father: "To be faced with your father... you presumably have killed, is a lot... There's just so many unresolved feelings." Full quotes from the cast: thedirect.com/article/dexter…
When I first watched the trailer for #M3GAN2, I legitimately thought it was awful. After seeing the movie, I have been won over: M3GAN kicks ass. I had a great time. It has well written humor, an engaging story, and is simply tons of fun. It trades horror for sci-fi action.

I’ve seen all of #Ironheart. Dominique Thorne continues to crush it as Riri Williams. She brings intense charm and spirit to the character—I need more of her ASAP. The show is strongest when exploring magic vs. technology. The suits are great. Sadly, The Hood is a letdown.
Thank you to @disney and @20thcenturystudios for inviting The Direct out to the International Spy Museum in Washington, DC, to celebrate the release of #TheAmateur on VOD! We also got to speak with the film’s director, James Hawes, and were led on a spy-themed walking tour!
I am very much not in the camp that’s hating on Superman to hate on Superman. I’m excited for it. I want it to be good, and I expect it to be. But trying to be like it’s perfectly fine that his cape clips is NUTS. That’s a big mistake. It should be fixed (I expect it will be).
I'm sorry, but who actually gives a fuck if Superman's cape clips through the suit in one frame? If you're using this as a way to judge the quality of the storytelling, find something else to do.
#Elio star Brad Garrett, who plays Lord Grigon, spoke about his villain's hard exterior shell, while also relating to the movie's titular character because when the actor was a child, he too was "a loner" and "bullied:"
#Elio is a ton of fun and a whimsical adventure into the unknown corners of the galaxy while still exploring messages and themes relevant to everyone. I absolutely loved the unexpected horror elements throughout. Glordon definitely steals the show, but the entire cast is great.

Thanks to @netflix and @moviemarshall for inviting us out to a special preview of the upcoming #Netflix animated film In Your Dreams yesterday! The event was a blast & I even got to meet Craig Robinson, the man behind Baloney Tony (a stuffed animal in the film). #InYourDreams

#PredatorKillerofKillers was a big surprise—it’s awesome. The movie offers tons of excellent fight sequences, brutal moments & intriguing additions to the Predator lore. At first, I wasn’t sold on the animation, but I quickly became impressed. Predator fans will fall in love.

Had fun celebrating @NetflixTudum last night! Looking forward to the big show today! #Netflix #TUDUM

The Materialists offers an insightful and interesting look into the modern dating scene, and truly lives up to exploring what its own title presents—while getting to do it with an absolutely stacked cast. #TheMaterialists

Thanks to IFC & @shudder for a wonderful time at the LA red carpet premiere for #DangerousAnimals. The cast was wonderful & the film provides audiences with a unique serial killer story to sink their teeth into. Jai Courtney really dials it up to 11! Stay tuned for coverage!
I've seen Ballerina, and the action lives up to the John Wick name. It's highly explosive and engaging—Ana de Armas sure does know how to creatively use a grenade. #BallerinaMovie #JohnWick
I saw #MissionImpossible last week, and here are my thoughts: The final stunt sequence is absolutely wonderful, and a peak example of why this franchise is so beloved. Sadly, I can't say that about the other 2+ hours of the film.
It doesn’t though.
Last week’s episode of ‘THE LAST OF US’ showcased the show’s worst habits, removing nuance and complexity from the game’s story to avoid upsetting new viewers. Find out more... discussingfilm.net/2025/05/18/the…
The latest episode of #TheLastOfUs Season 2 is easily my favorite of the series. Yes, the structure is different than the game, but that change was apparent in the first scene of the game. THE scene still works beautifully.
