PREMIERE - A Thing of Beauty ★★★★ “Utterly irresistible” Financial Times ★★★★ “It’s a winning combination, cartoonishly full of skill, verve and vitality, and tickling your senses of both humour and wonder.” The Guardian
"They do this by quantifying minorities and gamifying vulnerabilities, keeping track of which disabilities are up and which are down, as if the human condition were a stock market." Delicious article on a job that has caused so much harm to so many workplaces/ sectors.
This week's @thetimes column is about NHS Fife, which surely tolled the bell for the diversity officer, a job made for these times thetimes.com/comment/column…
Immediate reflections on today’s events at the Sandie Peggie tribunal. I’ve now been ‘in the room’ and have witnessed first hand the so-called clever people like doctors and lawyers inexplicably blind to their hypocritical double standards. They will bend over backwards to…
Social sabotage is when someone tries to harm another person's social life or relationships on purpose. This can happen in many ways, such as spreading rumors excluding someone from a group or making fun of them in front of others. The goal of social sabotage is to make the
Surely the @bbc has had enough historic problems with presenters and their interest in children to know this is a red flag?

Brilliant article by @RosieKayK2CO “This is the madness of the culture wars at full tilt. If it weren’t real, you’d think it was satire. But Khoo’s real-life work may yet go down in the art history books as….” link in next post
Robust defence of artistic freedom by @RosieKayK2CO “The artist is no longer just the creator of the work; she is treated as a proxy, a vector for all that is supposedly wrong in society” Art is meant to provoke, but how we respond is a measure of our own understanding

‘The lesson is not that art must be safe, or that all views are equal, or that everyone must agree. It’s that participation is difficult, pluralism is fragile, and the artist’s job is not to resolve tension but to hold it’ (& public institutions exist to create space for that)👇

Brilliant piece by @RosieKayK2CO on how ideological tribalism -- from all sides -- is killing art. Each artist must now be tested. Is she loyal to the cause? Has she been ideologically vetted? Art comes second — loyalty first. If she fails the test, the sentence is clear. She…
