How many college coaches are headed to section 7.. just looking for targets, just open to watching games and looking for hidden gems! My guess.. D2 and D3 a lot.. D1.. not too many
Unfortunately.. or not.. the days of really good summer leagues are done!! For the best schools.. it’s Cali live, section 7.. dead period.. off the club team!!

I’ll finally admit.. I got super frustrated with coaches who treated summer games like regular season!! Take out “live periods” - I get that!! BUT..summer is supposed to be about team building and development! Everyone should get a chance!! No one cares about the summer record!

Spoke with a JC Basketball coach today.. he has over 25 kids either on the roster or wanting to come out!! The level of competition is insane!! If you are waiting.. you might have waited too long!!
HC’s if you are going to ask your assistant coaches to work 11.5 months a year.. you NEED to pay them for their time!! You need to think outside the box and take care of the people who take care of you!! ( your welcome fellow assistant coaches!! )

AAU coaches .. there is a CIF rule that states.. a student athlete can’t follow their AAU coach to a school. ( even if you change a address) I believe it’s a 2 year sit out if it can be proven!! It’s that time of the year.. families .. be careful and AAU coaches.. be better!!
