I’ve been reminded about great coaches we’ve also lost from local baseball, softball, volleyball, football and other sports programs.
I know so many coaches in mid-Missouri who are great examples of this. We lost a few in basketball and tennis recently. Amazing people who invested in our student athletes on and off the court. We need parents and administrators who support these positive coaches and teachers.

George Karlaftis signs big contract extension to stay with Chiefs.
With today’s four-year extension, defensive end George Karlaftis is now under contract to the Chiefs for six more seasons, through 2030.
Most sports parents I know are great encouragers & teach team values at home. But a few destructive parents are contaminating team culture and are hurting our coaches & teachers. It’s time the majority stand up and support teamwork, and coaches who instill good values.
