Saturday's No Kings protests were massive, inclusive, and nonviolent. It was an honor to team up with @owasow to analyze how nonviolent resistance can wins hearts, minds, and elections.

I unequivocally condemned Hamas Oct 7th attack & supported Israel's right to go after terrorists. They achieved it in months. But 2 years of bombing of women and children? France, Australia, Britain, Canada all disgusted with Netanyahu's callousness. Are all our allies blind?
The food, medicine and aid are IN Gaza. The @UN won’t distribute it. Hundreds of truckloads are sitting there. The trucks are loaded. Demand they deliver. Yesterday, Hamas again rejected a U.S.-brokered ceasefire deal that Israel accepted. Where’s your unequivocal condemnation?
John Kirby: The IDF is more careful with civilians than even the U.S. military! Green Beret sees the IDF in action, recoils in horror:
I am sick of the tired platitude that for an ally like Israel we must not disagree publicly or in the media. Not when there is mass starvation. This is the time for every American to speak up publicly. PM Netanyahu, let in the food, medicine & aid. We must not be complicit.
This woman is a damn hero 💞 Outside a Home Depot in Encinitas. “If you’re doing something right, take your *%#£|*% mask off!”
Just 40 days ago, Democratic lawmaker Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed by an unhinged Trump supporter and the story has basically already vanished from the national consciousness. DO NOT LET IT.
It is profoundly disturbing to see young social media influencers casually rationalize Hitler and the Nazi regime’s systematic extermination of six million Jews during the Holocaust. The only thing more terrifying than Holocaust denial is Holocaust glorification. The comfort…
Hey I wonder what happened last time a state tried this
We’re phasing out Oklahoma’s income tax— finally. And once we get to zero, Oklahoma will be rollin like never before.
This could literally pass as a scene straight from The Office
New lab paper on leisure, effort, and meaning by @AidanVCampbell, @GDepow, and Srishti Agarwal from @AmuseLabs. Check it out!
🎉 Our paper is now out in Communications Psychology! We explore how effortful leisure can be a source of meaning in daily life. Across 5 studies (N = 2,569), we find: - Effort makes leisure feel more meaningful - But not necessarily less enjoyable 🧵doi.org/10.1038/s44271…
Oh no I really hope Bill Clinton isn’t in the Epstein files, I’ll have to get rid of my Bill Clinton hat and my Bill Clinton sneakers and my Bill Clinton cologne and my Bill Clinton watch and take down my Bill Clinton flag and I’ll have to delete my Bill Clinton nft trading cards
Fans at a hockey game cheered every time this 4-year-old boy was shown on the big screen and booed when it was someone else 😅
.@RepThomasMassie and I have the votes to easily pass the full release of the Epstein files. The Speaker is recessing Congress without giving us a vote. RT if you believe members of Congress should have to vote yes or no on the release before their summer vacation.
Just two guys in 2003, who hadn't yet realized that they had made one of the best songs of all time
It’s genuinely hilarious, and sort of perfectly fitting, that MAHA neuroticism about food chemicals combined with Trumpist love of trash food is cashing out in dietary wins like “now your 3,000 calorie Bloomin Onion is made with beef tallow!” and “Apple Jacks still have enough…
Froot Loops is finally following its nose — toward common sense. Thanks to the many parents who spoke out and pressured @KelloggsUS to remove harmful food dyes from its products. I urge more companies to step up and join the movement to Make America Healthy Again.
New paper & surprising result. LLMs transmit traits to other models via hidden signals in data. Datasets consisting only of 3-digit numbers can transmit a love for owls, or evil tendencies. 🧵
Here's a treat for state politics and policy researchers. Ethan Dee and I published a dataset in Nature: Scientific Data with 1.36 million state legislative bills since ~2009 coded by 28 policy areas. We used a machine learning model built off open source components.
Dropped by @harvardpress today to get the first copy of my book. I can’t tell you how wonderful it feels to finally hold it in my hands… Many thanks to @_sen_sharmila for investing in this project, to my community for believing in me, & to God for seeing me through to the end
