#bcfc in advanced talks with #htfc over a deal for striker Alfie May. Move almost happened 12 months ago, but both sides confident it will this time. Fee £1m+. Still v popular at St Andrews, but fallen down pecking order after 7 new signings (so far).

#norwich close to agreeing a deal with #Wolfsburg for Josh Sargent, that could net the Championship club £21m.  Talks are at an advanced stage, I’m told, and Sargent has told Norwich he is keen to move to the Bundesliga.

Wilfred Ndidi more likely to be Bundesliga-bound than the PL, I’m told. Mainz, Hoffenheim and other German clubs interested. The #lcfc midfielder’s release clause has dropped to £9m after relegation. Meanwhile, it would take £25m+ for Leicester to consider selling El Khannouss.

As we reported exclusively last week - Marti Cifuentes is the new #lcfc manager. 3yr contract now signed. Good appointment for both parties. He will almost certainly have to sell before he can buy, but he will enjoy working with the depth of talent in Leicester’s squad.

Excl: #nffc have now written to #thfc and Morgan Gibbs-White’s agent putting them “on legal notice”warning them they are considering legal action over what they consider is an illegal approach and breach of confidentiality. Forest doubling-down. No comment from either club.

#safc (along with many other clubs in PL and Europe) are monitoring developments with #lcfc winger Bilal El Khannouss. Sunderland have admired him for several months, but have other wide attacking targets too.

2/2 Both #nffc and MGW have legal rights here - Forest have right for confidential contract info not to be released to rival clubs, MGW has a contracted right to leave Forest, if a £60m bid comes in. If MGW really wants to move to #thfc, he may have to explore those legal rights.

1/2 #nffc adamant Morgan Gibbs-White is going nowhere, but have NOT yet complained to PL about #thfc. I can reveal Forest have tried for a year to open new contract talks with MGW with a big pay rise and removal of the buy-out - but he’s refused. Spurs taking a watching brief.

Excl: #lcfc agree compensation with #qpr for Marti Cifuentes - who is paying half of the £500k himself. Now only his visa outstanding, which couldn’t be processed over the weekend.

EXCL:I’m told #nffc consider deal to take Gibbs-White to #thfc is currently OFF - Forest consulting their lawyers over what they believe is an illegal approach. They never gave permission for talks and have cut all comms with Spurs. Unlikely they can block it, but def delayed.

Excl: Cifuentes will be taking a pay cut if, as expected, he takes over at #lcfc - once he has voluntarily paid back a large proportion of the £500k compensation to #qpr. Such is his enthusiasm for the project. He has agreed a two-year contract, with the option of a third.

#lcfc are trying to progress a deal to make Marti Cifuentes their new boss, after talks stalled with Gary O’Neil earlier today. Cifuentes has offered to forego some of the compensation due from #qpr, to take the job. It isn’t his yet - Wilder and O’Neil still being considered.
