The British Film Institute (BFI) will be holding a major Ridley Scott Retrospective at BFI Southbank and BFI IMAX titled; "Ridley Scott: Building Cinematic Worlds" from Sept to Oct, with Ridley Scott attending the event in person on Oct 4 & 5 for the screening of 3 of his films.




Also nice to see Ridley Scott's GOAT status confirmed by the makers of Alien: Earth:

"Wow, f**k me. I know that ship, and I know that world." - Ridley Scott Scott Free’s Chief Creative Officer, David W. Zucker says Ridley Scott was quite impressed when he saw the sets of the USCSS Maginot from the new Alien: Earth series, which closely resembles the Nostromo.




New unofficial "The Dog Stars" behind-the-scenes cockpit and aerial footage has surfaced. The video depicts "Erie" airfield, the home of Hig and Bangley that was recreated at Campo Volo di Bordano. 🎥 via Eraldo Picco
A closer look at the "Spirit In The Sky Aviation" helicopter equipped with Shotover K2 and F1 rigs that was used to film "The Dog Stars" aerial scenes.

Cinematographer Erik Messerschmidt, has shared a photo of the TDS (acronym for "The Dog Stars") clapperboard. This confirms his involvement with the film.

It looks like filming at the Piazza Kennedy/Palazzo dei Congressi area in Rome may have started this afternoon, although the cast hasn't been spotted yet. Post-apocalyptic semi's and buses can now also be seen lining the streets.
Additional videos and photos of "The Dog Stars" set at Eur in Rome. Conflicting reports from Italian media whether filming has already taken place or whether it will still take place there, but going by the videos it looks like they are still busy dressing the set.

A closer look at "The Dog Stars" film set at Piazza Kennedy, in the Eur district of Rome. In addition to a crashed Huey, an abandoned special operations vehicle can also be seen. Back in 2017, Scott shot an airport scene at this excact location for "All the Money in the World".




Filming of Ridley Scott's "The Dog Stars" is currently taking place in front of the Palazzo dei Congressi in Rome's EUR district. A crashed "Huey" helicopter, lots of debris and a couple of derelict vehicles can be seen on the steps in front of the building.
