Just gotta point out the fact a lot of so-called leftists will turn a blind eye to things they care about getting censored (women, menstruation) so long as the yucky stuff gets censored too. But who's to say they won't start labeling LGBTQA+ content as "extremist ideologies"?
To add onto that, I'm taking steps towards divorcing this issue from being a left vs right issue, because this is an authoritarian vs libertarian/liberal issue. I'm willing to put aside my differences for a common enemy that is these puritans, as they have done the same.

People are slowly beginning to realize that this isn’t about “the children” or anything like that. The government regardless of location wants to know your face and name at any time. They want to censorship not because “porn icky”, but to suppress many of your rights.
The Uk government forcing discord to scan my face or show my id to verify my age is genuinely draconian. "Oi you got a license for that" jokes are 100% justified.
