The sudden and extreme weather event in central Texas has been a heart-wrenching tragedy, and we suffer with our neighbors the destruction and loss of precious lives.

Today we remember the courageous Declaration of our nation’s independence, and our continued fight for Justice and Liberty for all nearly 250 years later. Wishing everyone a very Happy Fourth of July. Please be safe on the roads this weekend. 🇺🇸

ICYMI: The Governor has called a special session after his late night veto of #SB3. I look forward to heading back to Austin next month to create a safe framework where we protect our children, help our veterans and neighbors with chronic pain, and regulate a booming industry.

Juneteenth commemorates the 159th anniversary of the final enforcement and awareness of the Emancipation Proclamation in Texas and serves as a reminder of all the achievements realized through faith, resiliency, and progress.

No matter your name or title, Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads and father figures in our lives and across our communities. 💙

Yesterday was Women Veterans Day, and Team 148 was honored to attend the City’s Celebration and celebrate the fierce women who have served our nation. One of them is Mrs. Berta Strait Lee, a Cypress-raised veteran who answered the call and served our nation.
