Congressman Jared Moskowitz
@RepMoskowitz
Father, husband, sneaker head, and Congressman for Florida’s 23rd Congressional District.
Right now, the presidential library system allows donations of unlimited value from anonymous donors and even foreign governments. Today, I introduced commonsense reforms with @SenWarren, @SenBlumenthal, @Rep_Stansbury, & @RepRaskin to subject every president to new ethics rules.

"The conspiracy they were told is that the only people on the list were Democrats. It was the Clintons, it was gonna be Bill Gates. It never dawned on anyone that there might be some very powerful Republicans, and maybe the most powerful." @JaredEMoskowitz joins @Timodc:

👟It’s that time of year again! 👟 As Sneaker of the House, I cordially invite all Members and staff to our 3rd Annual Sneaker Day on the Hill! Put your best foot forward this Wednesday, July 23rd and show off your kicks with the #SneakerCaucus.

I’m encouraged to see the bipartisan HALT Fentanyl Act signed into law yesterday to crack down on illicit drug trafficking. Florida families are counting on Congress to keep working together on legislation that’ll combat this epidemic and keep Americans safe.
This week, I voted for the HALT Fentanyl Act to crack down on the bad actors that traffic fentanyl, just as I did last Congress. Too many Floridians lose loved ones to this lethal substance, and this commonsense step will get law enforcement more tools to get it off our streets.
Under the Administration’s freeze on public education funding, @BrowardSchools is missing more than $30M in critical education resources. I’m leading my Broward-area colleagues demanding they release these funds and ensure FL students and teachers have what they need to succeed.

Today marks 60 years since the Older Americans Act was signed into law, providing critical funding for elder care and nutritional programs like Meals on Wheels. In Congress, I’m focused on strengthening these programs and ensuring our seniors can live with dignity.

I visited Alligator Alcatraz today with several of my congressional colleagues to fulfill our duty and conduct necessary oversight. What we saw today is a ridiculous project built in the Florida Everglades solely for political purposes.

"The idea that they weren't activated within 24 hours, and it took three days for the secretary to make that decision, is not only unconscionable, I've never even heard of FEMA doing that": Florida Congressman Jared Moskowitz on FEMA's response to the Texas flooding.
I stopped by Sinai Residences in Boca Raton to meet with residents, tour the community, and hear what additional support our senior living centers need. From wellness resources to health services, it’s vital our seniors have access to the tools to live with dignity and security.

Moskowitz: "Kristi Noem doesn't know what she is doing. She has no idea what she is doing when it comes to FEMA ... what she did is she broke it, and she broke it on purpose so that when it fails this summer, she can say, 'Oh, see, we told you -- FEMA doesn't work.'"
As a former emergency management director, I’ve been alarmed by how Sec. Noem has handled the tragic flooding in Texas. I’m calling for an investigation into reports of FEMA’s delayed response. Congress has to get answers, strengthen emergency management, and protect the public.

Happy 62nd birthday to the city of @CoralSpringsFL! I’m proud to have my district office located in Coral Springs City Hall, and it’s an honor to serve such a vibrant community in Congress. Wishing the city many more years of prosperity!

🐾🐶 OPEN FUR BUSINESS: Very excited to see @thefarmersdog open their new office in Boca Raton and look forward to seeing the great business they continue to build here!

It is an honor to be named by @RepJeffries to this bipartisan group, which reaffirms the enduring alliance between the U.S. and Israel. I look forward to working with my House colleagues and Knesset counterparts to strengthen the relationship between our nations. 🇮🇱🇺🇸
Johnson and Jeffries roll out the members of the re-established House-Knesset Parliamentary Friendship Group:
I’ve been sounding the alarm for months that cuts to FEMA and the National Weather Service could have severe consequences on emergency management. We need an after-action review of what happened in Texas and we must ensure these agencies have what they need to keep people safe.
The flood news coming from Texas is devastating. I’m praying for the safe return of all missing kids and mourning for families of those lost. As a former emergency manager, I know it’s critical our emergency responders have every tool they need to save lives & deliver relief.

Wishing everybody a safe and happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸

My statement on my vote against Republicans’ disastrous budget bill:

No matter how Republicans tried to game the system to pass their budget, @RepJeffries has led our fight against it. His historic remarks on the floor today reaffirm Democrats’ commitment to working families and give voice to just how destructive this budget will be for them.
This is a moral moment.
