There you have it — Trump’s Big Ugly Bill will increase the deficit by $3.4 trillion over the next 10 years. This bill racks up debt and is completely irresponsible, coming from the so-called party of “fiscal responsibility.”

We must have both security and humanity in this country. The lack of transparency during recent immigration enforcement operations in Oceanside was unacceptable. My San Diego colleagues and I wrote Secretary Noem demanding answers.

First they slashed wind and solar. Now Trump’s making it harder to build the infrastructure we need. We need American-made clean, cheap energy to compete with China, lower costs, and stay energy independent. I’m fighting to make sure we don’t fall behind.
Wind and solar are now the cheapest, most reliable forms of new energy. American jobs are at risk when we don’t invest in clean energy.
I voted NO on the GOP’s reckless rescissions bill to claw back $9B in already-approved funds—including for NPR, PBS, and global health. It hurts local news, public education, and efforts to fight deadly disease. Shortsighted. Harmful. We can do better.
The Trump Administration froze over $5 million in federal education funds owed to schools in CA-49. My team immediately reached out to every impacted district to understand the consequences—and what we heard is alarming.
