Though my pun didn’t light up the room for some of my @HouseAppropsGOP colleagues, I was proud to support this amendment to shed light on the safety risks posed by low beam headlight brightness.
Thanks @Rep_SteveWomack for your bipartisan support and not letting my amendment get left in the dark. If the response from our colleagues is any indication, your puns might need a little bit of adjusting (not unlike misaligned headlights).

Yesterday, President Trump signed the HALT Fentanyl Act into law which will help us fight this crisis in SW Washington. I led the @HouseBlueDogs to successfully urge the Speaker to let Congress vote on this bill – and I'm glad I could vote to send it to the President's desk.
Had to pop out of Committee to vote, and Uma enjoyed her furst ride on the House Subway.
