On January 4, 2025, my bill, HR 5103 – "The FISHES Act" was signed into law by the President. HR 5103 expedites the delivery of much-needed fishery disaster relief to coastal communities. Today, we received the pen & signed copy of this monumental win for the people of Florida.
Back in June, I joined my colleagues in supporting @howardlutnick & @CommerceGov as they imposed tariffs on Mexican tomato exporters. Their dumping was devastating Florida tomato farmers & action had to be taken. Our tariffs are WORKING & we're putting AMERICAN FARMERS FIRST.
For years, Mexican tomato exporters have dumped unfairly-priced product into the US. This practice has devastated farmers across the Sunshine State and the nation. Thank you @howardlutnick and @CommerceGov for taking action to end Mexican dumping and put AMERICAN FARMERS FIRST.
