Today is International Stamp Out Spiking Day and I want to remind everyone that drink spiking can happen to anyone, pretty much anywhere. Drink responsibly and don't let your guard down especially if you are out, enjoying a cocktail or beer somewhere.

Today in Pgh I met with members of @ConservationPA and @PennFuture Jess Cadorette, Natalie Davidson, Robert Smit, Kathy Jameson and Tracy Farr to discuss clean energy, water and air & healthy climate legislation. Thank you for taking the time to have this important discussion!

Today in HBG, I convened a House Liquor Control Committee meeting to vote legislation that included a bill from state @RepGoughnour from Allegheny Co. HB 1702 boosts liquor businesses by allowing them to offer draft, premixed cocktails while providing a safe option for consumers.

Governor Shapiro has signed my bill into law! Act 31 of 2025 helps more veterans access the benefits they’ve earned by requiring larger employers to post veterans' resources in the workplace. This small change can make a big difference for our veterans. pahouse.com/Deasy/InTheNew…
I joined my colleagues in Harrisburg today to condemn the bill passed by congress &signed by the president that would kick people off necessary programs that help them & their families. This is not the way government should operate. I will always fight for you and your family!

We owe our veterans gratitude every single day for all they have done. There is no better way to do that than to ensure we communicate with them about the rights and benefits that they have earned by serving our country.
This week we remember our colleague state Rep. Matt Gergely - who passed in January - with a condolence resolution. Matt was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a stellar public servant. We miss him and send our continued thoughts and prayers to his family.

I met with PA American Water today in Harrisburg - looking to educate residents about lead in drinking water. They have a program to eradicate it and you can help. To determine if you have lead pipes, go to pennsylvaniaamwater.com/leadfacts or email them directly at [email protected].
