I'm glad to see the administration concluded their programmatic review of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers. These resources are crucial for CA-22 after school programs, and I urge them to release the remaining Department of Education funds. newsnationnow.com/politics/ap-po…
High-speed rail has been an expensive failure with no viable path forward from the start, and I applaud DOT for refusing to keep funding this track to nowhere. Now we can finally shift focus to investing in infrastructure that actually benefits the Central Valley.
Governor Newsom and California’s high speed rail boondoggle are the definition of government incompetence and possibly corruption. The price tag has gone from $33B to $135B with no completion date in sight. We could give every single LA & SF resident almost 200 free flights…
Americans deserve financial privacy, and it’s long past time we put real guardrails in place to protect that right. Today, I was proud to vote for 3 bills that reaffirm our commitment to free markets and individual freedom. Read more: valadao.house.gov/news/documents…

Maintaining access to healthcare is one of my top priorities, and a key reason I backed H.R. 1 is the administration's commitment to ensuring hospitals in CA-22 can continue providing essential care. I'll keep working with the President to get this funding where it's needed most.

This week, I joined @CenterForwardUS for their Agriculture Summit where @RepJimCosta and I discussed America's farm labor economy and the importance of a reliable workforce. Thanks for having me!

As a member of the FFA Caucus and an FFA alum, it was great meeting with the California FFA during this week's State Officer Summit. These bright, young leaders are the future of our agricultural industry, and I look forward to the positive impact they'll have one day.

I was proud to deliver remarks in support of my bill, H.R. 1044, which authorizes 7 permit renewals for the Kaweah Hydroelectric Project. Kaweah is a critical source of clean, reliable, and affordable energy for CA-22, and I look forward to voting YES on final House passage.
Bakersfield vets deserve a functioning VA clinic, and after years of lawsuits, the Kern County court ruling is a welcome update. Constructing this clinic is one of my top priorities, and I’ll continue doing everything I can to move this project forward. bakersfieldnow.com/news/local/bak…
Happy Independence Day! Have a safe, fun, and patriotic day with your family, friends, and neighbors! 🇺🇸

My statement on budget reconciliation: valadao.house.gov/news/documents…
Last month, I sent a letter to Governor Newsom—which went unanswered—urging him and the Democratic supermajority in Sacramento to suspend the gas tax increase and stop the price hikes. Today, Californians can expect to pay an extra 61.2 cents at the pump. valadao.house.gov/uploadedfiles/…

The House just passed a resolution I helped lead to condemn the LA riots. The right to peacefully protest is crucial, but the violence that occurred went beyond free speech. This reaffirms our commitment to standing with law and order, and I’m happy to see common sense win.
After months of work preparing the FY26 bill as Chairman of the @HouseAppropsGOP Legislative Branch Subcommittee, I’m proud to see it advance out of full committee markup. I look forward to building on this momentum as the bill heads to the House floor. valadao.house.gov/news/documents…

I commend the Senate's work on responsibly phasing out energy tax credits in H.R. 1. These changes are a good step toward supporting an all-of-the-above energy strategy, and I continue to urge my colleagues to protect jobs and investment while supporting American energy…
