Many high-rise apartments throughout #Philly that were built before 1991 don't have automatic fire sprinklers & still don’t. Thanks to my legislation owners of these buildings would receive a tax break to install these systems, bringing safety & peace of mind to residents.
In the case of a fire, sprinkler systems can save lives and protect property. I'm glad to announce that my bill to incentivize the retrofitting of fire sprinkler systems in residential high-rises in Philadelphia passed the PA House today. pahouse.com/Bellmon/InTheN…
Residential fire sprinkler systems can save both lives and property. Unfortunately, high-rise buildings in Philadelphia built before 1991 don't require them. My bill would establish a tax abatement to help retrofit these buildings with modern systems that could save lives.
