The Liberal Democrats are now the second largest party of local government, and we’re on track to overtake the Conservatives at the next general election. Across the country, voters have chosen our community politics over the Conservatives’ division and disdain.
Scrapping Ofwat is a good first step. But we need a tough, new regulator. Whether it is sky-high bills or the destruction of our natural environment, it’s time these failing water companies were held properly to account.
