Just putting this out here because I like it: the Old English ‘bledsian’ originally meant ‘to sprinkle with blood’ but after the influence of Christianity, it gained the meaning ‘to bless’ He will sprinkle the nations!

I made these cute little Aussie animals as thank you gifts for people when I go to America (they are a platypus, a sulphur-crested cockatoo, and a koala). 😊
In less than a week I’ll be in America! 😃And what’s more, I have been told to expect snow. ☃️ That’ll be quite strange after the boiling hot precursor to Summer we have been having Down Under.
I embroidered this a couple of days ago. It turned out pretty well. 🙂
I’m just sitting and embroidering (ignore my super inconsistent satin stitch 😕). It will be a wattle once I’m done. 🙂
Yesterday I made this full-length circle skirt out of an old circular tablecloth from an op-shop (I also reused the zip from an old skirt). It’s an incredibly easy and cheap way of making a pretty, modest skirt in under a day. I’d definitely recommend giving it a go. 🙂
