Sawatsky is a legend. While no question or type of question is foolproof, open, neutral, lean questions will deliver more insightful interviews almost every time.
Interview expert John Sawatsky taught importance of probing tough issues without feeling need to ask tough "sounding" questions. Why? It's less effective. Accusatory questions or statements with non-neutral tone usually fail. He taught benefits of lean, open-ended. Look him up.
