SELF PROMOTION ALERT! New sit-com series for the kiddywinks comes out tomorrow on Cbeebies. It's called 'Football Fantastics' and I got to play the grumpy caretaker, Mr. Parks. I'd like to think I was channelling Mr.Griffiths, the janitor from Grange Hill. bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/watch…
2000 AD sci-fi special 1981 For Zod's sake! Look, I'm a fan of Superman 2 & space shuttles as much as the next '80s kid, but wouldn't this have made an even more spectacular cover without the contents plastered at the bottom? No wonder Dredd ain't dipping his headlights.

I've just started the BBC drama Mix Tape apparently set in 2025 with flashbacks to 1989 when the romantic leads were teenagers. Will there be an episode explaining why the characters in the present day are respectively still in their late 30s and mid 40s? Enjoying it though.

Spotted this yesterday in a local chazza. I was tempted to buy it coz I love 1970s spooky board games, me. However, I'm running out of cupboard space, so no room in the inn for the Scream Inn then. They're also asking £15 nicker for it too. Nah. One for @TheCheapShowPod ?

2000AD summer special 1980 Mike McMahon was the original Dredd artist. His art made leaps and bounds from that first story in Prog two 1977. My copy is a bit battered. HEY! Who's scribbled on it? Certainly wasn't me. Grr! Did I leave it next to mum's telephone doodle pad again?

I like a wide variety of different chilli sauces but can't finish'em quick enough before they pass the sell by dates. I'm pouring all the leftovers down the sink so the bottles can be recycled. The cocktail of aromas is BREATHTAKING! Reader? Have I just created my perfect sauce?
2000 AD sci-fi special June 1979 What a summer! (with apologies to The Specials) 🎶Can't fight corruption with con tricks They use the law to commit crime I dread (Dredd) to think what the future'll bring When we’re living in gangster times 🎶 (Don't call me Old Stoney Face!)

Oh good, just been told you can't enjoy a barbecue on London Underground trains anymore. Banned' em. That's Saturday night ruined.

That Coldplay Kiss-Cam story made me immediately think of Stan & Ollie getting rumbled in Sons Of The Desert (1933).

More of me old tat found in my parent's loft. From 1975. Today, a teacher would be sacked for this behaviour. There's no discipline in our schools anymore. What was your favoured beach headwear as a kid? A yellow top hat? A boater? Possibly, a WW2 air raid warden's helmet?

The second 2000 AD summer special. David Icke's 'A Fistful of Dollars'?

Prog 314 "I am not an animal! I am a futuristic super villain!"

Prog 313 I love a good medi-bot and it's most gratifying that Mega City One healthcare sector adopt the British Red Cross symbol from 1870 in the 22nd Century.

Another recent novelty 1980s pop single chazza shop find! I've just uploaded it to YouTube. Apologies in advance. Before Sir Mix-A-Lot there was Plum! youtube.com/watch?v=TQTawt…

Prog 312 No, the gravestone mason isn't terrible at maths; don't forget because of spacecraft sabotage Sam experienced a time dilation and suddenly became 35 years younger. I wish somebody would similarly sabotage my next mode of transport, I could do with being 25 again. *sigh*

Picked up this gem last week. £10. Just uploaded it onto YouTube. You'll all be singing it in your sleep tonight. youtube.com/watch?v=-gJvou…
2000 AD Summer Special 1978. "Don't read in the back of the car, Pauly, you'll feel sick". "Wind up the window, it creates a draught. Pam, can we turn down the radio please? I can't bear this, what is it?" "Boney M, Dad." "Pony M, more like." "Are we nearly there yet?

Recent chazza shop 7" find. A 1981 novelty pop single that sounds like a retread of Johnny Reggae by The Piglets via Luton Airport by Cats UK? It's a dirty job but somebody has to exhume these questionable artefacts. youtube.com/watch?v=EM9M_k…
