We took more meth off the streets yesterday. Chang Yang, 31, of Minneapolis, fled from our deputies and crashed near 35E and Maryland. Then he tried to run away, but he wound up in cuffs. Now he's in jail awaiting his latest charges, which will be added to all the others ...

Looking for a job? Enjoy working with an awesome team, free gym access and the latest technology? Oh, and great pay, health insurance and retirement benefits, too? We've got you. We're currently looking for Correctional Officers: ramseycounty.us/your-governmen…

They are heroes whose faces you'll likely never see. But when you need help, it's their voices that give you hope. They are the Public Safety Telecommunicators. And we couldn't do our job without them.

This is Zakaria Abdi Isse, 30, of Andover, Minn. On March 31, he fired five shots into the front door of a house in Vadnais Heights. Then he ran away. Our Fugitive Apprehension Team caught up with him a day later in St. Paul. He's in jail now.

Our deputies' investigation ID'd the mail thief as a 36-year-old man from Andover in a tan Honda Civic. They issued a metro-wide alert. Coon Rapids PD found his car and arrested him with a fake Amazon uniform and packages stolen from homes in White Bear Township. #teamwork
We prefer when we don't have to, but we pursue people who flee from us in stolen vehicles. It often leads to the recovery of illegally possessed guns and narcotics such as fentanyl and meth. It also gets people their vehicles back.
If you bring death and destruction to our county, we will find you. We will arrest you. And we will try to send you to prison. These are some of the stolen handguns and meth that our Violent Crime Enforcement Team has taken out of the hands of criminals over the past few weeks.

Last week our Gun Unit served a search warrant on the East Side of St. Paul. They seized 10 illegally possessed weapons -- including ghost guns and handguns equipped with switches -- from a 17-year-old male. He's in jail, now.

Our SWAT Team arrested two teens believed to be responsible for the death of an 18-year-old man in the City of Ramsey on March 2. The house was surrounded as the suspects were ordered to come out of a house in Shoreview. They did, thankfully, and without their guns.

Hey everybody, call 911 if you see this guy.
Please see the press release and photo. Quevedo-Holmes is wanted on charges of 1st Degree Assault with a firearm and he is considered armed and dangerous so do not approach. If located, call 911 immediately.
They pulled into Eagan with 20 pounds of meth and left in handcuffs. Head over to facebook.com/RamseyCountySh… to read the story.

It was a balmy 53 degrees Fahrenheit today in Ramsey County. Good time for some ice rescue training with our friends from the Oakdale and North St. Paul Fire Departments. Stay safe out there, everyone. And by that we mean: remember, there's no such thing as "safe ice."
