Why do deputy presidents act as presidents in the absence of presidents and yet deputy ministers can't act as ministers when their bosses are not around?
National stories belong to people, not parties or one group of people.
Stories are important. Even in politics it is stories that the electorate buys from politicians and parties. Stories. How good is your story? How believable is it? Simple. A party or politician that is not clear about their story rarely wins an election.

The stories of our people are buried in heritage sites and museums scattered across the country. Stories we need to dig up and share with the world. A country that is not clear about the stories to tell is confused and seeks to confuse everyone.

Today I must admit the mountain is bigger than me. It is also older. It has been here before me and it will remain here when I leave. It is undefeatable. But I gave it a fight. I pushed and it pushed back harder. It's silent laughter echoing everywhere. Happy Friday People!

Today it was the dogs barking. Probably chasing something in the bush. I heard them barking & imagined them running. And so I ran, imagining I was one of them, chasing whatever they were chasing. And before I knew it I was on top of the hill - breathing fire, my chest on fire!

How do you eat a whole elephant? One piece at a time. That is also how you conquer a mountain - one step at a time. Even one day at a time. Today the road is surprisingly quiet. The birds are not singing or laughing at me today. Maybe they overdid it yesterday. Run!!!!!!
I am old. I am tired. Running uphill in the morning is not for 50 yr olds. It is punishment. It is pure torture! The birds are here. It is their place. I can hear them but am not sure if they are laughing at me or cheering me on. I must conquer this hill. Tomorrow am coming back.
