"A criticism of centralization presupposes that decentralization is a good thing. But why is that?" If there is one author I wish my comrades would read it is Donald Livingston. He informs my thinking about the current nationalist populist wave deeply. abbevilleinstitute.org/blog/the-south…
This point that Tucker articulated so well is one I have been making for years. I can’t speak to his motives but my motivation is simple: American Christians should not support the slaughter of other Christians around the world by the US empire!
"as always we wind up abetting the murder of Christians. That's not an accident. From dropping the atomic bomb on a Catholic church in Nagasaki, through the Balkans, through what's happening in Syria, through what's happening in the West Bank. We're always against the…
The NYT opinion piece was a response to an article arguing the opposite. NYT has run many front pages along these lines.
interesting to contrast this coverage with the NYT, which just yesterday published an OpEd "No, Israel is not committing genocide"
I watched the protests outside hotels housing illegal immigrants; my taxes pay for the illegal immigrants, their hotel, the police outside the hotel, and antifa. The only thing my taxes didn't pay for was the people saying how insane it is, whom I actually agree with.
In the sense that nobody believes anything the regime says and there's no coherent narrative to explain every day life, yes absolutely.
Another Hebrew-only Ynet piece—this time by veteran Israeli reporter Ron Ben-Yishai—is more candid and direct than anything printed in English. It lays out how the Israeli government is starving Gaza and killing those desperate enough to seek food.
"Follow after the things that make for peace." – Chuck Baldwin on the Christian stance on Gaza
If you're still supporting Israel in 2025 there's something seriously wrong with you.
Note to Canadian Christians; You cannot send your children to public schools. I know you say you can't afford to homeschool or pay for Christian School; but you need to make whatever lifestyle changes are required to make that happen.
This is why Catholics and Jews started separate school systems in the US, because the public schools were so inherently protestant that they were worried their children would assimilate to the dominate religion and culture if they attended public schools
I don't understand how anyone can still think that China is communist. China is as authentically communist as Australia is authentically democratic.
Our nuclear arsenal being compromised by SharePoint of all things is actually kind of funny.

One of the things I do in this intellectual space is keep careful track of both the implicit and explicit predictions that are made and compare them to what actually happens. As we watch the starvation of Gaza, it's worth coming back to this one.
Based on my work on mass murder by states, I expect Israel plans to slaughter the population of Gaza. In my article I outlined how stealing is related to killing. Here's an implication: If it's merely about changing who is ruling (who gets to tax farm the populace) then I…
In the real classical sense, the "hippies" were like a thing that lasted about as long as the "Alt Right" from about 1964 to 1967, and then there was a mass popularization that flooded North Beach/Haigh-Ashbury with lots of ride alongs & then that was a mess by the early 70s too.
Note how much of an outlier the US is. Much still to do.
Even for those on the 'right', UK views are unfavourable.
No I think you're wrong. There is no comeback from this. BBC is regime central.
But objectively speaking nothing will happen oor of this. Vibes based politics are not real and this is entirely vibes based. Bibi is a political solutionist, not a an internet culture warrior
What these figures show is that, in this country, Israel is well past the point of losing the median voter and a very long way away from winning them. So why do all the main parties not reflect this. Why does "populist" Farage represent the 18% position not the 55% one?
Latest Yougov poll, all British adults: 55% oppose Israel’s actions in Gaza, 18% support 43% have a worse view of Israel since 10/7, 4% have a better view Even among 65+ age group only 29% support Israel and 54% oppose. Younger voters: 69% oppose, 8% support.

In November 2023, I wrote that "Israel plans to slaughter the population of Gaza." But I was not predicting whether their plan would succeed. I now see a potential path: Mass starvation. My original tweet explains why I saw this coming...

Once you let a few enemies in, their main job becomes letting other enemies in, and then you're sidelined.
In the current attempt to cancel James O'Brien, the organised left has not forgotten O'Brien's role in the smears on Corbyn, so all their messaging about it, in unison, highlights O'Brien's past treachery. Fantastic friend-enemy distinction. Right would be welcoming him in.
