Here's a fun tidbit, the video game VR episode in s4 was made because we basically had to slice an episode's worth of budget to use elsewhere, so we devised an episode that would recycle as much anim and reuse as many still assets as possible.
We also had a running gag that we'd explode every new vehicle MK got so we wouldn't have to bring it back. Lego even asked us to stop blowing vehicles up at one point, if I remember right. My favorite was the cloud jet, which i never managed to buy a set of.

I'll be vague but I will say we internally treated certain characters as though they were canonically together. I've been pretty on the nose about it in the past so I think it's probably clear who I'm talking about, but yeah, we were never specifically permitted to acknowledge it

Ahaha yeah the go-to one was always MK. I think after Mel drew him holding the trans flag on that one livestream it became unavoidable. But otherwise, in my head at least I'd always kinda thought of Ao Lie as enby, just based off of my personal vibe/resonance with the character.
