I'll still be on this platform, but you can also find me on the other side here.

Reposting - Even though (terminally boring) Yusuf has resigned, whoever Farage appoints Chair next could be much more charismatic - and dangerous. The next chair will still have the "extraordinary" powers granted by the Reform constitution. It's a TON of power. @BenQuinn75

Zia Yusuf, the man behind Reform UK's turquoise curtain, has managed to get enshrined via the Reform Constitution as un-sackable chief gatekeeper, secret-holder, and disciplinarian. He's intent on bringing DOGE and Trump tactics to Britain. Don't underestimate him. @DeSmog

🚨 BREAKING: Senate just passed Trump's megabill gutting clean energy—largely shaped by fossil fuel "philosopher" Alex Epstein. But even GOP Sen. Tillis, who voted no, called him out: people "without a clue about what they are potentially doing to our grid." Who is Epstein? 🧵👇…
Climate isn't just another political thing that Republicans and Democrats argue about. It's like immigration and healthcare and the January 6 insurrection. Gigantic life and death consequences. Lies on one side, facts on another. A plea to fellow journalists to take it seriously.
Really hate how Republican politicians have managed to shift the way political reporters cover energy. Hardly matters if they don't quote climate deniers if they fail to note how many people are killed and sickened by fossil fuel pollution, and how much cheaper solar & wind are.
Hi everyone. Reactivating twitter to share this I was denied entry, detained, and deported from the USA at the end of last week because of my reporting on the Columbia student protests I arrived back in Melbourne on Sat 6am and had my phone handed back to me upon landing

🛑 Stop underestimating the hell out of Reform Party Chairman Zia Yusuf, multimillionaire right-hand man to Nigel Farage! 🛑 Please. He's got “extraordinary” powers within Reform UK and has grand visions of becoming the tech bro behind an Elon Musk-inspired DOGEing of Britain.

The Trump people claim to be fighting antisemitism, and the media often accept that framing. I believe, on the contrary, that these actions are antisemitic in intention and in execution. I explain in a short video via link in image below or profile
German businesses heard a similar pitch in 1940. theguardian.com/us-news/2025/a…
Six years ago, I walked into the lair of the tech gods - TED - to warn them democracy may not survive technology. In fact, I was the one who almost didn’t survive. This year I returned & called them data rapists. Complicit in a coup. Collaborators.
States now hire unjustly fired FBI agents, prosecutors, and other unjustly fired federal personnel. Good people at the right time.
Memo to journalists: There's a high likelihood the thing you are writing about does not "raise concerns" about something bad happening -- it is in fact the bad thing happening. Reevaluate your language and maybe your whole approach to the story. Tell the whole truth.
There is mounting evidence that a new Doncaster Sheffield Airport, a priority project for Mayor @Olivercoppard, will harm #SouthYorkshire economically and environmentally. It can still be stopped. If you want details, read this excellent investigation by @SamMGreg @nowthenmag.
For weeks I've been investigating @OliverCoppard's plan to use vast sums of public money to reopen Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Not only is it environmentally reckless, but there are also serious unanswered questions over the business case ⬇️ @nowthenmag nowthenmagazine.com/articles/irres…
I don’t think we should put a price on the truth . It’s hard to find these days . But we do find it in the @ObserverUK and @guardian . There are moves to sell The Observer which might imperil its future . Not good , that why I stand in solidarity with its striking journalists…
This piece by @RichStwit, about Oliver Coppard's much-heralded Citizens' Assembly on the Climate Emergency, is explosive 💥 Richard was one of the people who set up the assembly, but says what's happened since "should be a point of shame" ⬇️ @nowthenmag nowthenmagazine.com/articles/our-c…
The problem isn’t government waste. The problem is that billionaires don’t pay taxes.
