A good Kyle adaptation when the showrunners basically admit that they just did Hal Jordan and slapped Kyle's name on him...
I still hold the opinion that this was a good Kyle adaptation. If he had appeared in Justice League and JLU more he would have been VERY popular with the casual audience
I liked that this SDCC was less about the big movie reveals and more about the comics and the fan experience. Can it just be that every year now?
How did it "play it safe?" It was an alt-universe, retro-futurist speculative fiction series that didn't reference the large MCU at all, based on a property that failed multiple times, all while trying to sell the notion of "The F4 are the coolest heroes ever."
I need Fantastic Four to make enough money to get sequel because this film definitely played it safe because of past failures of FF films and the current state pf the MCU. This cast is so good and Matt Shakman can COOK. I need a sequel that goes full throttle with them
James Cameron didn't sacrifice the last 20 years to the Avatar movies. He shifted his career to exploring the ocean depths, and using the Avatar movies to fund it.
Agreed. Really wish James Cameron didn’t sacrifice the last 20 years to the Avatar movies that we’re still pretending are some kinda cinematic masterpieces. Don’t get me wrong they look STUNNING (and I’m sure pushed technology forward) but c’mon now when it comes to the story.
In other words, they're hating on it because it's popular and they're a joyless ghoul.
i really cant stand her voice omg she sounds like she needs to blow her nose 24/7
Get a life then.
The fact that the average person is excited for this makes me feel absolutely crazy
Look, you're just *daring* the Spider-Fandom to flood your mentions...
We always talk about good retcons and bad retcons on here, but what about retcons that you think need to happen? What would you do if you were in charge?
My “favourite” part on online discourse these days are people who know nothing about film making statements that seem knowledgeable but clearly just borrow terminology and phrasing from others without understanding what they mean.
So, I watched F4 today and the cast was really good. I’m excited to see more of them, but the movie itself was underwhelming. You could tell the editing process was messy. Saying it’s better than Superman or Thunderbolts is crazy, but Sue was great
The movie was great but you still need to complain because that's the only identity you have, *WE GET IT!*
This is because (even with flaws) the 2005 movie is a story about humans that become Fantastic. The 2025 movie is about the benevolent squad of super powered gods of a planet full of cardboard people.
There’s also something to be said about being a joyless ghoul who needs to be miserable about everything and assume every piece of media is right wing propaganda.
theres something to be said about the rulling class refusing to let the rest of the world partake in a decision that effects all of them (the life of every single person on earth is at stake) just because its personally tied to elites
One of the main characters wasn’t a guy made out of rocks.
ZACK SNYDER WAS ABLE TO MAKE TWO VFX HEAVY FILMS AND TWO DIRECTOR'S CUTS IN UNDER $166 MILLION! TOTAL.
The reason it started was because people whined that the damn movies were too long and that we needed to go back to 2hr films again!
The "Need-to-keep-big-blockbuster-under-2-hours" epidemic needs to end. It has clearly hurt a ton of these movies. It's insane that so many people can clearly tell that 15-20 IMPORTANT mins of this movie were cut and are already asking for a Director's Cut on the Opening weekend.
We're doing this already? FFS.
Say something nice about this movie
I love it when people say this despite us having decades of people who *actually* worked on the films going "Yeah, Feige was the one who pushed for that stuff you liked and felt we should include it in. Turns out he was right."
chopped to hell by the feiginator and you can tell
Where did you read it?
this movie is so doomed man, the script needs a doctor to fix it.
