I’d been meaning to move the pelargoniums out to the porch, but in the strange stillness of that moment, I found myself just watching the light fall across them—pink on purple, like the sky outside had folded itself into the hallway. “Light on the Threshold”, 25X35cm. Available.

Three paintings, three new homes. All sold this week directly from my online stockroom — thanks so much to everyone who continues to support my work 🧡 #originalart #artistsoninstagram #australianart

Late light tracing its way across warm walls and cooler floors. A quiet geometry of colour, shadow, and stillness. 🌿🟧 “Three Walls and the Sun”, 40X40cm. #lightandspace #painterlyinterior #australianart

She lived alone but always kept fresh herbs on the sill. A painter in her 70s, they said—toast at odd hours, houses from memory, curtains always open. One day, I saw her holding a lemon to the light, like it might speak🍋 “All That Was Hers”, 30x30cm #artistlife #kitchenpainting

I hadn’t planned to paint this. The cushions were too neat, the light too harsh. Then a breeze stirred—shadows shifted, the throw lifted, and suddenly it wasn’t just a view, it was a rhythm. I mixed new greens and let the brush take over. 🌿🎨 “A Moment on the Deck”.

The tea went cold. The books stayed shut. And somehow, it felt just right. ☀️ A lazy Narrabeen escapes, where the hours blurred and the ocean kept shifting mood. Sand scratched the floorboards, and even the to-do list felt optional. “Afternoon Drift”, 35x45cm, acrylic on board.

There’s something about a window seat and a guitar that makes you feel like the day might still surprise you— even if you haven’t tuned the thing in years. “Echoes of a Room”, 34X45cm. 🎸☀️ #quietcorners #guitarbythewindow #painterlymood

This hallway gets the best light in the house. It’s where things go when they no longer have a place — unread books, retired chairs, unmatched vases. But somehow, everything looks more important when the sun hits it.🪑 “Temporary Arrangement”, 25X35cm. #AccidentalStillLife

Someone ahead had balanced a baguette under one arm, tyres hissing on wet cobbles. The boulangerie glowed behind—like a still-burning thought. Some moments feel like the last scene in a film… but it was just Tuesday night in Paris. ✨🌙🥐 “Cyclist at Dusk”, 30x40cm.

Not all our lessons happened inside. At my school, the bush was its own classroom—full of daring games, scratched knees, and sword fights. This little desk sat quietly by the window while outside, we were busy becoming wild things.🌿🖍️ “Wild Lessons”, 35X45cm. #glenaeonmemories

Sometimes you’ve got to take your compositions where you find them. No grand arrangements, just the small theatre of coming home. 🍌 “Contents May Have Shifted”, 25X35cm. #quietdrama #eveninglight #accidentalbeauty

What drew me in wasn’t the ocean—it was the contrast. Hard lines vs. drifting light, warm reds against cool greens. Less about detail, more about balance—capturing how the light felt. “Apartment at Palm Beach”, 85x85cm 🎯🪟🎨 #compositionmatters #painterlylight #artprocess

Ten little worlds heading out this week—some across the country, others across the globe. ✈️🎨 Still amazed these pieces now live in rooms I’ll never see, with stories I’ll never know. Thanks to all who’ve added one to their wall.💛 #artcollector #artistlife #richardclaremontart
🌇 Another painting from Paris: golden hour in Montmartre: where the rooftops glow like brioche and everyone suddenly walks a little slower—partly from the hill, mostly from awe. “Dusk in Montmartre”, 30X40cm. #paintingparis #goldenmoments #richardclaremont

Hallways are the quietest part of the house—but always full of stories. 🚶♀️ This one’s seen everything: dumped bags, late-night pacing & a table that catches it all—keys, lists, stray cups & books that refuse to go back to the shelf.📕 “Please Mind the Books”, 61x75cm.

⏳ Final hours! My Paris in Three Moods print drop closes tonight. Three limited edition prints, each capturing a different side of the city—sunlight on the Seine, a quiet rain in the 7th, and that long, wandering afternoon glow. ☁️🌿☀️ ⬆️ Link to purchase in my profile above ⬆️
💡There’s something deeply satisfying about the way hydrangeas hold the light — layered, rounded, cloud-like but grounded. Every petal is a chance to shift hue, every shadow its own small decision. They’re a painter’s puzzle I never get tired of. “Between Blue and Green”, 35X45cm

They’re here! 🥐🎨 Paris in Three Moods print drop is now live. These three scenes capture Paris in all its shifting light— sun on the Seine, rain in the 7th, and that golden afternoon glow. Available for 4 days only—no reprints once sold out. ⬆️ Link in bio to collect⬆️

Most mornings around nine, this magpie showed up like clockwork.🐦 Not for food—just a look around. Inspected the laundry, pondered the washing machine & stood in the light like a tiny philosopher. Funny how fast a bird becomes part of the household rhythm. “The Visitor”, 35x45cm
