@niba_saleem and colleagues’ meta-analysis reveals that negative media depictions of ethnic minorities lead to unfavorable evaluations of these groups, while positive portrayals produce the opposite effect.
As a researcher of inequality, I've been faced with the conundrum of how to talk about the harms of inequality but in a way that isn't only deficit focused, which can perpetuate the stigma that inequality creates. I'm grateful to have these suggestions by @ChristinaBauerA!
