I've quietly followed Maiko for years and his insights have been great - sadly not had the chance to work together, but from the replies here it's clear how much of an impact he's left on the community prior to VSJ (he joined some time after my last projects with them). Vouch ✨

I think this is somewhat of a related conversation, but i'd encourage all of my fellow freelancers to try and take control of their income over time rather than focusing solely on revenue coming from companies as well as flat fees in general

Many of us tried our best, significantly beyond our roles, with only hope to work with. I wish I could have done more for talents, fellow staff, and the community. I'm sorry. This year and especially week has been so incredibly heartbreaking, stressful, and tiring.

When MWM was working with VSJ and I was getting confused about who the right PoC was among the many staff, Panini helped to provide a super clear list of who's who and their scopes. She also reached out to provide opps for AL talent when Nick and Fred were newly launched ♥️

For the record, I’m also one of the individuals affected as far back as 2020, for work I did under the table, and failed to secure a proper signed contract, compensation, but didn’t sign a NDA as I wrote for a ASMR project (incomplete) and misc consultation.

As someone who has had the luck to cross paths with VShojo, I do want to stress that it's important to separate people from the corp. The people I got a chance to work with, including staff, were wonderful so pls don't stop sending them all your love and support 🥹
