I wrote about the new Shared Streets Law. theurbanist.org/2025/05/19/gov…
What’s the name of the eponymous law that states anytime there is a large vacant property ripe for redevelopment, the neighbors will always advocate to make it a park?
A few hundred folks raced the bus #8 from Dexter to Stewart today and we all beat it there.

Voting Mamdani? Understand what you're asking for.

Countdown of the TOP 20 NEW URBAN DISTRICTS (that I have visited recently). A THREAD 🧵
Big box stores to be clad in cardboard. Pawn shops may only sell one type of chess piece. Duty-free shops may not provide a public restroom.
Flagship stores must have flags. Brick and mortar stores must have masonry construction. It is mandatory for pop up shops to have at least one vertical hydraulic element.

These GPs are right to warn about the dangers of air pollution across the country. In London, we've already taken bold action - with the ULEZ reducing harmful roadside NO2 concentrations by nearly a third across our city. theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
Brilliant news for the West End. I look forward to working with Westminster and the Crown Estate to create a vibrant, thriving and accessible destination that Londoners and visitors can enjoy. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
I have a degree in Economics but I don’t fixate on GDP. In America, when we build a massive freeway, buy a car, fill it with gas, crash it, repair it, and treat the associated injury and cardiopulmonary disease…that all adds to GDP. But what did it buy us?
This building under construction across from King’s Cross really seems to be responding to it architecturally.
