DAY 5- MONS 19-21 (part 2) I also spoke for an hour today with the representative of the buscadores, a humbling experience. She told me without reservation about the grim realities and dangers of their work, and of her brother, who vanished 4 years ago.
DAY 5- MONS 19-21 (part 1) Today I opened the donations to my early supporters, and I am completely blown away by everyone's generosity. Just this first wave of donations has wildly exceeded all my early hopes for this project.
finally the last of the fossil mons, some classic wooly rhinos. i feel like the evo here is the most on-brand for a gen 1 mon in the roster. the little horn on the hump is a reference to the dürer's rhinoceros woodcut
next, a fuegian dog! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuegian_d… not a real dog at all, an entirely seperate domestication event, bred from an different canine! they went extinct around 100 years ago. this mon is based on one of the few surviving taxidermy specimens, of extremely dubious quality.
