Morning ladies, The /GC trade is a butterfly where the long put closer to at the money is 1 additional week out. so buy 1 lot of 3350 and sell 2 lots of 3395 for 31-Jul and buy 1 lot 3435 for 8-Aug - a positive theta trade. Profitable even if /GC moves up a little. #LIZJNY

This is primarily a theta burn trade on the calls sold with a small positive delta to allow for positive drift with the put spread providing a downside protection in case of the strong market correction. I am playing around more on backtesting to fine tune it. #lizjny

Morning ladies, a complex trade for your review. buy a put debit spread - 30 delta/15 delta - 30 days out. In the same trade a diagonal - sell 3 calls at 20 delta 30 days out, buy 3 calls at 25 delta calls in the 45 day cycle. Close at 15% profit or 25 days on SPX or ES #lizjny

Morning ladies. /ZC IV still high but for some reason my 370/470 Aug strangle premium came in by more than 30% in 2 days. Closed it early, do you break your rules for quick profit in such cases? #lizjny

Morning Ladies. I have a /CL Jul strangle 53/71 currently at 45% profit, still has 38 days to expiry. Should I roll up the puts to make it more delta neutral and generate some more returrns or just close and re-establish? What would you recommend? #lizjny

#lizjny - Sorry i meant a back ratio - sell closer to the ATM and buying more units further out - for example sell 2 5000 and buy 3 4900 on /ES in Aug for a small credit. It helps be during a IV spike.

Morning Liz and TP, Earlier in the week Tom was replying to a customer question about strategies that he would not try and he said backratio is a strategy that he would not do. I actually like this strategy and it has helped we during IV spikes. What are your thoughts? #lizjny

Morning ladies. UNH strangle sold for a quick 35% profit after the drop. I rolled up the puts once from 200 to 250. Entered on 15-May, rolled puts yesterday and closed strangle today. #lizjny
