Want to help build a crowdsourced microcontroller? You're invited to design peripherals (UARTs, timers, synths, etc.) for a @risc_v chip that will be fabbed for real! Take part for free! tinytapeout.com/competitions/r…
Should be an awesome way to get good view on how to build a hardware peripheral to a RISC-V processor, and get a leg up on how to enter your own design
Join me today on the #opensourcesiliconstream to catch up on the latest news and then make a simple quadrature encoder peripheral for the @tinytapeout RISC-V competition! youtube.com/live/2JTFwLVpZ…

Wait: does anyone think "companions" will be *good* for someone? I understand that it's more "emotionally engaging" (i.e. short circuit all that boring, slow, cortex and hop straight into monkeybrain), but ... "address loneliness"? Seems a recipe for a ton of blowback and sad.

Freshly and well documented journey of a classic, a good guide if you want to get into glitching.
Just dropped a blog post on reproducing a known voltage glitching attack to bypass APPROTECT on the nRF52840! 😎 Spent hours soldering & debugging to get it right. Not novel, but a messy journey—check it out: matiassoler.com/posts/approtec…
My Golden Rules of Thumb for great schematics :D "Golden" 'cause they never lead me astray. "Of Thumb" because sometimes you break 'em and that's fine. Which would you add? Object to? #Electronics #CircuitDesign

These really were two of the biggest game changers for me with @kicad_pcb -- one is dumb and simple and optional, the other requires more effort but ... woah, does it pay off for me. What are your big efficient tricks when doing schem or layout? youtube.com/watch?v=T-voZI…
Been reflecting on my circuit design process while building a course. Here’s my updated flowchart, from planning to fab. Hope it helps! What’s your design process? How would you improve mine? #Electronics #CircuitDesign

Power outage: yay! An opportunity to put the backup source through its paces.

Been begging for it for a while... could it be that the time to reboot has come?

Dig into the chips--neat!
Our chip viewer just got an upgrade: now you can see microscope images, GDS, local interconnect and jump straight to project files. Spot something cool? Dive right into the design. tinytapeout.com/decap/tt07 Try out our new layer selections with the button at the top right.
FabricFox: Little FPGA board that's a drop-in replacement for the ASIC on @tinytapeout TT06+ demo boards. It'll be CRAM configured by the RP2 on the DB, so it's uber simple. @fishPointer : does this save me from the culling?

These boards really are "treasure troves of microelectronic wonders". If you weren't part of the ASIC tapeout, this is a chance to get one. A ton of cool projects on each (I think my favorite is still TT06, the 1st to have analog, including my first mixed-signal). See…
