grateful to the pickpocket at Paddington stn London-- who picked my wallet, pinched 100 pound I had in cash, then throwing back wallet with my worthless INR, cards & ID back at my foot & making a smooth exit before i even realised what hit me! true class🙏🏽peak art!
Not one ,not two not even three but TEN Dalit Professors of State run Bangalore University faced with brutal Caste bias but the whole incident is muted in mainstream media. None of daily otheriwse liberal columnists of English media have bothered to write an opinion piece so far.
Just finished what should be mandatory reading for savarna millennials. Equal parts fun and uncomfortable (as a being called out should be). Already bought it for a friend. Will be buying it for more and there will be a DISCUSSION with each one. Thank you @ProfRavikantK
It's a wrap at UK! thanks to Ambedkarite community inviting me to talk abt #MeetTheSavarnas at Oxford, Leicester & Leeds, & fans in London & Bristol for showing up! Also as part of the 3rd Global Conference on Caste, Business & Society at @UniofOxford, was happy to meet so many…

🤫😅🙏
A very good read #MeetTheSavarnas @ProfRavikantK . I think the Savarnas are giving it the silent treatment as this may feel like a direct attack on their hypocrisy.
@ProfRavikantK is coming to Oxford for a book talk with @oxsaaf — happening at @SomervilleOx To attend in person/online, register here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI…
Looking forward to reading @ProfRavikantK's new book 'Meet the Savarnas' that's just arrived. 💙 @ACDAnews
Hills district of Darjeeling has deep embeddedness of Caste that my Students from there belongs to Tribal community tell me in class. Most tea gardens are Baniya,Upper Castes owned & Cheap labor is mobilised from local Tribals. This is in a state ruled by Communists for 3 decades.
Imagine producing one of the world’s most iconic teas and earning less than the official minimum wage. In Darjeeling's tea gardens workers are paid Rs. 250 per day which is 30% less than the daily wage for unskilled labour. And even this small amount goes unpaid for months.
Riveting book, raises many uncomfortable questions, forces one to introspect on one’s own belief and behaviour. Must read, only for those eager to explore new answers to India’s age old problems. By @ProfRavikantK who grew up in Calcutta around the same time
Started reading this interesting book by @ProfRavikantK. I feel that he has a point. He may be harsh at a few places, that notwithstanding. Reconciliation begins when we accept faults- not to apportion blame but to find a way ahead. Read this book in that spirit.
Just finished a brilliant book by Buffalo Intellectual @ProfRavikantK broad stroke history of India with clever analysis of the Savarna culture. The prologue hits deep, especially the lines of Rohith Vemula and sets the tone!
Best book I have read this year. Forced me to do a lot of self reflection. Thank you @ProfRavikantK
one of the only joys left in watching cricket nowadays is the closeup of #GautamGambhir everytime India loses due to his alpha-team-calls 🙏
Might be another insightful podcast for savarnas and OBCs to introspect on their privilege and political stand, do listen to this amazing podcast by @ProfRavikantK youtu.be/xzFeL_sFkDs?si…
every story from @Nalanda_Wardha is healing & restores faith in strength of Ambedkarite grassroots community 💙
This pic has a story! Every year in July, a friend, also a Nalanda Mitra, an advocate based in Delhi, sponsors a new laptop for one of the Nalanda students in the memory of her mother. She has been doing this for one woman student from Nalanda since last 5 years. But this year,…
