While in NYC on business travel, I caught up with WSU alum @TaureanEverett, who is starring on Broadway in the Tony Award winning show, Death Becomes Her! Taurean has built a Broadway career based on hard work, integrity and kindness. Most importantly, he’s an amazing person!

It was great to have Wichita State student-athlete and Gore Scholar Caden Carlson attend the American Athletic Conference annual meeting with me and AD Kevin Saal. Caden was selected as one of two student-athletes attending and representing all AAC athletes. Go Shockers!

Big news for Kansas tech infrastructure! Last week marked the groundbreaking of the state’s first Internet Exchange Point (IXP), right next to Wichita State's Innovation Campus. This development will boost local and regional internet speed, reliability and security.

I was proud to recognize the Post Office at WSU as this month's Rick Rewards honoree. The team was recognized for exemplifying Wichita State’s student-centered mentality through excellent customer service and being a go-to destination for community members to receive passports.

From having flatbed trailers for bleachers and no locker rooms to a showcase for the sport. Shocker Baseball's most notable figures gathered yesterday to share how Gene Stephenson built something out of absolutely nothing. goshockers.com/news/2025/5/3/…

Earlier this week, WuShock and I crashed the Office of Human Resources’ monthly staff meeting to recognize them as this month’s Rick Rewards recipient. The staff was celebrated for the implementation of WuHire, making it easier for departments to support students on campus.
