Excited to give a seminar at the @MIPS_Australia on Nov 20th & look forward to learning more about their research! I will present our work on infectious and neuro diseases using math modelling & imaging approaches from my group at the SBMS @UQMedicine and CJCDAR @QldBrainInst.
Ozempic’s cousin drug liraglutide is about to get cheaper. But how does it stack up? theconversation.com/ozempics-cousi… via @ConversationEDU
I had a lovely visit to @IMBatUQ and @QldBrainInst this week. Discussed lots of great brain science and got to see superstar @RosemaryJCater new lab! Thanks to @AnggonoLab for the invite and hosting me. @DehorterLab @PraneshPadmana1
It was my absolute pleasure to host @renaemryan1 for the Centre for Chemistry and Drug Discovery seminar @IMBatUQ this week! She shared such beautiful research and it was so fun to have my PhD advisor get to know my new academic home!
Out today! We find that an epigenetic modification (6mA) to the mitochondrial genome (mtDNA) influences lifespan and the heritability of mtDNA mutations to the next generation. It implies that epigenetics determines genetic composition in future offspring. cell.com/cell-metabolis…

Check out this new study in Brain by Esteban Cruz from @AustraliaGoetz's lab: Can Tau passive immunisation reverse Tau pathology-induced brain-wide proteomic changes in a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease? Pleased to have contributed to this study...
Published in Brain: doi.org/10.1093/brain/… Our new data suggest that anti-Tau immunisation works towards restoring homeostasis, presenting quantitative proteomics as a viable strategy to validate therapeutic interventions in preclinical models.
