the idea that “2000s sonic fans” are the same as “90s” fans is such an uncritical, flawed argument that only people who think centrism = maturity use. In a nutshell, “90s fans” wanted the franchise to be less of itself whereas “2000s fans” wanted the series to be true to itself.
So many stupid people think having a calm demeanor and seeming above it all makes them more rational. No, actually if you don’t feel pretty intensely about the injustices of the world that doesn’t make you logical it means you’re less human.
seeing clips from the new BP tour and I think the reason they seem so uninterested and low energy may have something to do with the stage and production being so huge. They just aren’t able to fill all that stage (presence wise) and it was less apparent when on smaller shows.
i for one think it’s a little promising that they’re not just gunning for big celebrities
