4 years ago, Terrill Davis had never played a game of organized football. He always wanted to be a basketball player, but football found him. Now, he’s coming to OSU with NFL aspirations. #OKState // @ocollysports ocolly.com/sports/footbal…
Tonight was my last at summer league for the year. Wanted to give another huge thanks to @SuaveCEO_ for making this possible for me. As long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to go to SL, and now I have, with the best seats in the house.

Despite missing its 2 best players, the Oklahoma City Thunder likely locked in a chance to play for the NBA Summer League title. It didn't do it in summer league fashion. It did it the only way OKC knows how. Defense. @TheSuaveReport // #ThunderUp thesuavereport.com/2025/07/16/ten…
Solid win by OKC, who won despite having less talent on paper than New Orleans in this one. The Thunder has a chance to add another trophy to the case.
Despite missing Nikola Topic and Ajay Mitchell and facing a team with a dynamic lottery guard and other main roster-level players, OKC is running away from NOLA. Score is 88-68 with 3:36 left, and I can't see how NOLA would get back in this. OKC will play for the SL Title.
Well since I sent this he has looked like an Alex Caruso clone. He just ripped Keon Brooks and tried to poster him. He didn’t, but he did get the foul.
Looked like Brooks Barnhizer may have hurt something on that layup. He’s staying in the game, but he grabbed at his hammy on the run back. Something to keep an eye on.

OKC leads 66-57 after three. The Thunder is one quarter away from locking up a spot in the NBA Summer League Championship Tournament. Idk what’s going on with New Orleans. On paper, they have more nba players than OKC, but they may fall to 0-4 in SL. Concerning.
Really strong start to the half for OKC. Thunder leads 45-41 because of a flurry of fastbreak points, most of which were manufactured in one way or another by Brooks Barnhizer. Malevy Leons also doing a great job on Jeremiah Fears on the perimeter despite the quickness deficit.
OKC trails by just 2 at halftime despite having little to no offensive creation in the half court and missing a ton of free throws. OKC is fighting for its Summer League title lives in this second half.
Summer League Thunder doing its best impression of the main roster. The offense has dried up from the start, but over the last few minutes OKC has played ravenous team defense. Nearly 3 minutes into the second quarter, NOLA still hasn’t scored. 20-18 Pels.
OKC trails 20-12 after one. The Thunder is really struggling to get anything in the half court without Topic or Mitchell in the lineup to create for themselves and others. Could be a tough one all game.
Trey Alexander is also active for New Orleans after he missed their game yesterday against Portland. Kinda cool for those of my followers who are Oklahoman OU fans to see Alexander and Jeremiah Fears sharing a backcourt at the professional level.
Branden Carlson now in the game for OKC. Kinda odd he didn’t start, but he is active and playing.
Starters for OKC Barnhizer Ward Gortman Leons Youngblood Carlson is dressed but not starting, who knows if he’ll play or not. Looks like Jeremiah Fears is in for NOLA and Yves Missi is out.
OKC Summer League news: Nikola Topic and Ajay Mitchell are both in street clothes ahead of OKCs matchup with New Orleans. Everyone else is dressed, including Branden Carlson.

Egor Demin with three big 3s down the stretch to secure a likely win for Brooklyn. Impressive showings from Demin and Danny Wolf today as Brooklyn’s five-pick first round is at least paying off in summer league.
Back at NBA Summer League today for @TheSuaveReport as OKC takes on New Orleans in about 25 minutes. Haven’t seen it reported anywhere, but I see Derik Queen sitting in the stands with a wrap on his left hand, so I don’t think he’s playing. No word on Fears, Mitchell or Topic.

This is game-changing news. Essentially unless JDub takes one of the craziest leaps in sports history next season, the escalator in his contract will be very small (only 1-2%) Realisitically JDub makes All-NBA 3rd next season again or misses it and that means his contract will…
@SteveThunderfan "Williams' salary next season increases to the same amount as Banchero's, but only if he is named MVP, Defensive Player of the Year or All-NBA first-team. There are escalators for being named second- or third-team, but at a lesser percentage"
Come for the Yang Hansen show, stay for Derik Queen. He’s absolutely balling and taking it to Yang and Sidy Cissoko. Loving what I’m seeing. He’s playing with a high level of “F You” right now.
New Orleans and Portland up next. I’ve been looking forward to this one all day as all of Yang Hansen, Derik Queen and Jeremiah Fears are still active. Should be fun to watch.
