A scarce 'cabinet' card of Arthur Egerton Knight – these postcard-size portraits could be sent away for in exchange for 25 of the smaller cards which were issued in packets of Godfrey Phillips' Pinnace brand cigarettes between 1920-1923. #Pompey #PompeyHistory

C Burgess and C Burgess. Charlie won a Southern League championship medal with #Pompey in 1902 and later emigrated to America where he became a golf pro, finishing 47th in the 1910 US Open. He also taught Bing Crosby and Babe Ruth how to play the game. #PompeyHistory

Starting to get Wimbledon away in 2012 vibes about the upcoming friendlies with all these #Pompey outgoings!

I managed to find my yellow Scoreline #Pompey replica away shirt last night. Trying to remember matches I went to when we wore this shirt – pretty sure Chelsea away in the League Cup but can't find any pics– I watched the game from The Shed with a Chelsea-supporting mate.

A photograph of #Pompey centre-back Billy Gilbert – probably taken ahead of the 1984/85 season. The Le Coq Sportif kit was worn between 1983-1985. #PompeyHistory

A sticker of #Pompey winger Mark Chamberlain (1988-1994 198 appearances, 22 goals), from the Orbis Football Sticker album which was released in 1990/91. I loved this away shirt and still have one somewhere – I'll see if I can dig it out. #PompeyHistory

An A5 card of the 2004/05 #Pompey squad. Individual portrait cards were also available and are shown on the reverse. #PompeyHistory

A #Pompey and Southampton 1951/52 fixture list card issued by the Imperial Tobacco Company. #PompeyHistory

I recently acquired these photographs of Fratton Park –taken I believe sometime between 1956 (Fratton End constructed) and 1962 (floodlights replaced). #Pompey #PompeyHistory

A poster of the 2000/01 #Pompey squad, HMS Victory provided the backdrop. #PompeyHistory

A postcard commemorating Frank Bedingfield, who joined Pompey in 1900. In 1901/02, 'Beddy' had scored 25 goals by early February before he was taken ill following a cup tie at Reading, and was diagnosed with tuberculosis. He died in November 1904 age 27. #Pompey #PompeyHistory
