PTSD is an issue we take seriously here at LEAP. We have seen this complex mental health issue from many sides and people’s living experiences.
June is National PTSD Awareness Month – a condition that disproportionately affects incarcerated people. Not only does the criminal legal system cause mental health issues, but it exacerbates existing problems in an already-vulnerable population.
