I would be really grateful if you could check out and spread the word about the github repo for brainchop.org. You can also show your support by giving it a star if you like the work ;) github.com/neuroneural/br… #neuroimaging #neuroscience #brainresearch #MRI

#DeepSeek Prover is good for coding, but it communicates like Master Yoda. It fixes code without explaining the changes. Twice it returned my code with a fixed indentation issue (a line wrongly shadowed by an if statement), but I couldn't spot the difference. 🤦 #coding #AI
Honored to be featured in this story—thank you for the support! @gtcomputing @GTCSE @vdcalhoun @PlisSergey @CenterTrends
For Computational Science and Engineering Ph.D. candidate Md Abdur Rahaman, Thursday represents the peak of an educational summit spanning almost two decades in post-secondary education. He will earn his doctoral degree from @GTCSE. The areas of expertise that he developed in the…
Imagine if, in the 1890s, Eastman Kodak had created an entire research team devoted to figuring out if film cameras actually did steal your soul.
New column: Anthropic is studying "model welfare" to determine if Claude or other AI systems are (or will soon be) conscious and deserve moral status. I talked to Kyle Fish, who leads the research, and thinks there's a ~15% chance that Claude or another AI is conscious today.
Keynote @iclr_conf on how academia can contribute to the LLM industry even without training large models

"Analogy is to thinking as a motor is to a car." I suspect it is not the last thing that we'll find out that Douglas Hofstadter was right about
Geoffrey Hinton says the more we understand how AI and the brain actually work, the less human thinking looks like logic. We're not reasoning machines, he says. We're analogy machines. We think by resonance, not deduction. “We're much less rational than we thought.”
Thrilled to be included in this lineup for the ICLR 2025 oral session on adaptive computation and efficient inference! Thanks, @ayazdanb for organizing and the mention!! I'm looking forward to presenting "MIND over Body: Adaptive Thinking using Dynamic Computation" with…
