Pine Street Inn’s mission is to end homelessness by providing a home and community for everyone. We offer comprehensive services to 2,100 individuals daily.
This week, Provision Ministry donated four pallets of socks and footwear for Pine Street Inn shelter guests. Clean socks and comfortable footwear are some of the most requested items from people experiencing homelessness. Thank you for supporting our community.

Pine Street Inn's residence in the South End opened 35 years ago this month! With Pine Street's on-site support staff, tenants are able to move beyond homelessness and reach stability by getting the support they need. #TBT

Thank you to Rue Gilt Groupe for assembling more than 450 meals in a jar for Pine Street tenants. Healthy, ready-made meals help tenants maintain a balanced diet as they move out of homelessness into a new home. Thank you for your support and making an impact on our community!

Shawn became homeless after he lost his job. When he found employment again, he ended up living on the streets, where Pine Street's outreach team helped him apply for housing. Now at one of Pine Street's residences, he is grateful for a place of his own. ow.ly/8xpn50WoBfq

Pine Street's outreach team is on the streets 365 days/year, caring for homeless individuals in Boston. The team visits an average of 125 people every day to ensure they’re fed, hydrated & safe with the goal of helping them move off the street & back into a home and community.

Pine Street’s @icaterboston trainees learn skills in cooking, teamwork and more. Recently, trainees visited tenants at our newest housing site in Jamaica Plain to showcase their new skills by making nutritional power bars for tenants and promoting healthy eating habits.




We were saddened to hear of @David_Gergen's passing. David was a friend to Pine Street, who spoke at our fundraising breakfast & volunteered with his family for many years. He was kind in a world that needs more kindness, he was gracious & generous with his time & his insight.

Pine Street staff attended the 2025 National Conference on Ending Homelessness, which brings together homelessness service providers, advocates & others to share their findings. Staff discussed the impact of our services & learned about innovative approaches from organizations.

Thank you to Patrick Carter of @LegalSeaFoods, who joined our @icaterboston trainees to teach them how to filet a whole fish for tacos. Experiences like this help trainees become tomorrow’s chefs and provide a pathway to rejoin the workforce and exit homelessness.

Today, Massachusetts Housing Committee chair Rich Haggerty, committee member Hannah Bowen and legislative staffers visited Pine Street Inn to tour the facilities and learn about our strategies to end homelessness. Thank you all for your continued advocacy and support.

Each month, volunteers from @99restaurants have been visiting Pine Street Inn to prepare and serve a hot meal to our Men's Inn and Yawkey House shelter guests. We are grateful for your more than 40 years of dedication and support of Pine Street’s mission of ending homelessness.

Richard developed a substance use issue after being prescribed opioids for an injury. His substance use got worse after he became homeless when a relationship ended. He came to Pine Street for help. Now in recovery, he is thriving at our newest residence. ow.ly/FWl350WlWC9

Pine Street Inn was delighted to participate in @EncoreResortBH and @ThePackShackNWA's Feed the Funnel to pack meals for people in need. On their kick-off day, Pine Street staff, @icaterboston trainees and fellow volunteers packaged more than 100,000 bags of food.
