In the midst of war and media blackouts, the BBC World Service brought verifiable news to millions of Iranians this year. The World Service undermines hostile regimes, promotes UK interests and informs the world. Me for @politicshome 👇 politicshome.com/opinion/articl…
As Parliament breaks for summer recess, I’ve taken time to reflect on my first year as your MP. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved and excited for what’s still to come. Thank you for your support!
We've made fantastic progress fixing the NHS over the last year- with much more to come.

I’ve become a citizen scientist. I tested our rivers in Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket for pollution. My findings were shocking. The Government’s plan for a single, stronger regulator to punish polluters will help clear up our rivers.
Apprenticeships change lives, giving young people skills, confidence and opportunities. The Government’s 120,000 new training places will make a real difference. Proud to support the West Suffolk College in Bury St Edmunds, an outstanding provider.
This week’s announcement to lower the voting age to 16 is a huge step for our democracy - a democracy powered by the voices of every generation. If you’re working and paying taxes, you deserve the right to vote! #VotesAt16
The Stowmarket Carnival is happening this weekend! It's a free event for all ages with a parade, music, food stalls, and a range of family activities. More information can be found here: stowmarketcarnival.org.uk
Hospitals and public services like job centres must be universally accessible for people with sight and hearing loss. I've long pushed for sign language interpretation and braille as standard. Having met disability campaigners, I'll continue pressing the Government to act.

Isn’t it a pain dealing with small pension pots left behind when you change jobs? The Government's fixing this, combining pots under £1,000 into high-performing schemes so they’re not forgotten. A simpler system, adding up to £29,000 to an average person’s retirement savings.
To me, to you… A bit of DIY today, bringing some of the sights of Bury St Edmunds to Westminster. Now it’s feeling just like home!
