The Battle of Atbara on 8 April 1898 saw the Dervishes trying to defend a thorn zeriba and trenches against the most modern weapons the Anglo-Egyptian army under Kitchener could throw at them. The result was little more than a massacre. Please share! open.spotify.com/episode/1jvjV4…
