A solid old saguaro 🌵 along the Apache Trail near Reavis Ranch trailhead.

"Jack Knife," a bronze sculpture by the late Arizona artist Ed Mell at Marshall & Main Streets in Scottsdale.

Another Mistake by the Lake. 😆
The most Cleveland Browns clip of all time. As they take the tarp off to reveal the new brown helmet, a photographer falls off the raft into the lake.
In a photo from years ago, a reflection created this optical illusion at Grand Canyon Lodge. Sadly this North Rim lodge was destroyed by a wildfire about 10 days ago. This was a beautiful room with views of the grand chasm.

The 80-foot high Jacob Lake Fire Tower was erected in 1934. It has a 7x7 perch for the fire lookout, although I don't think it's staffed anymore. This is just down State Route 67 from the Jacob Lake Inn.

A gas station with predatory pricing. I think it’s an Exxon.

One more of Grand Canyon Lodge lobby from 2018. 88 years of hosting North Rim visitors. Which lodge did you like better, Grand Canyon Lodge or the 1905 El Tovar on the South Rim? ontheroadarizona.com/gcnorthrim.html

A tragic loss of the Grand Canyon Lodge at the North Rim in the Dragon Bravo Fire. The rustic lodge was completed in 1937 after the original 1928 inn burned down in 1932.

The Flex Lanes were open on Interstate 17 southbound this morning. It’s a big improvement. Seamless transition on front and back end. Props to @ArizonaDOT

It needs Grateful Dead stickers on it.
My first sighting of a VW ID Buzz in the wild.
The view from Agassiz Peak after some scattered showers earlier. A comfy temperature in the high 50s. Ahhhh ,Arizona!

I was greatly disappointed that the Fountain of Youth at the Flagstaff train station was not working. None of that pure, restorative water from San Francisco Peaks that would quench my thirst for youth. So I soldiered on, aging by the moment. 😎🌵
