As Vice Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Disaster Preparedness and Flooding, I joined my House and Senate colleagues, alongside @chiefkidd, to review the response to the July 4th flash flood. We're working diligently to strengthen Texas’s disaster readiness. #txlege




The special session begins today in Austin. I’m ready to get to work on critical issues for our state, especially flood recovery and preparedness for the communities in my district. There’s a lot on the agenda, and I’m committed to delivering results for District 24. #txlege

An important tool in the flood recovery process is reporting your damage. Submit an online damage assessment of your property to damage.tdem.texas.gov This points officials to damaged areas and helps determine TX’s eligibility for various forms of federal disaster assistance.
Many small businesses in our district are still struggling to recover from the recent flooding. I'm grateful to Gov. @GregAbbott_TX for launching the Texas Micro-Business Disaster Recovery Loan Program, which will help our employers get back on their feet. bit.ly/4lGYe4v

Today, Governor @GregAbbott_TX announced over $1.9 million in emergency grants for Kerrville and Llano hospitals impacted by recent flooding. These funds will support staff and hospitals while they help those who need it most. Learn more: bit.ly/4eNXgRg
